Amputada dos ramos que lhe fazem falta, a velha Alfarrobeira aproveita a Primavera para lançar rebentos, sinal de que talvez ainda haja esperança. Enquanto estava a tirar fotografias, na berma que não há, um carro passou por mim a boa velocidade, atingindo a máquina fotográfica com o espelho lateral. Mais tarde, já protegido no talude, uma colega de trabalho reconheceu-me, parou o carro e disse: "Já sei que vão mandar vir um técnico para ver a Alfarrobeira". Oxalá. | ∫ | The old carob tree, although severily amputated and ill, still bursts forth into Spring, so maybe there is still a hope. When I was taking photos I was almost hit by a car, and as I turned for protection the sideview mirror hit the camera. Later, on a safer position, another car stopped: a coworker had recognized me and said. "I heard they are calling an expert to take care of this tree". Let´s hope. |

Ainda bem que vão tratar de alguma coisa ...
espero que sim, já que o costume cá no burgo tem sido o de deixar morrer, ou mesmo abater arvores centenárias. Francisco Baeta
